If the KOT is not being printed for orders, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Attempt 1:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your device (via USB, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth). If it's connected via USB, ensure the cable is secure at both ends. If it's a wireless printer, ensure it's connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the device you're using.
- Check if the printer is added on Windows OS:
- Open the Start Menu and search for Printers & Scanners. Click on it.
- In the Printers & Scanners section, look for the KOT printer in the list of added printers.
- If your printer is not automatically recognized, you may need to install the appropriate driver from the printer manufacturer’s website. Download and install the driver before attempting to add the printer again.
- Test the printer:
- Once the printer is successfully added, return to the Printers & Scanners section.
- Click on your printer and select Manage.
- Choose Print a test page to confirm that the printer is working correctly.
- Reprint any order from Foaps and check if the KOT gets printed.
If the issue is not resolved, proceed to Attempt 2 below.
Attempt 2:
- Verify the status of QZ Tray, which is a middleware installed on your system. You can find it in the bottom right corner of your screen, represented by a green printer icon. If the icon is green, QZ is online; if it's red, it is offline.
- If QZ is offline, right-click the red icon and select the Reload button.
- Ensure that the Automatically Start option is enabled to avoid future issues with KOT printing. This will ensure the QZ Tray automatically runs when your system starts.
- Choose any order from the receiver, go to the order details page, and select the Reprint option to see if the KOT gets printed properly.
If the issue is not resolved, proceed to Attempt 3 below.
Attempt 3:
- Go to your account settings.
- Disable the Logo Printing option and click the save button.
- Re-enable the Logo Printing option.
- Choose any order from the receiver, go to the order details page, and select the Reprint option to see if the KOT is printed properly.
